The video is part of a bigger project: a book called, 50 Interviews: Young Entrepreneurs — What it Takes to Make More Money than Your Parents. The book has just been released and it is amazing, but the kids included in it are what’s truly mind-blowing. Most of them started out just selling lemonade or Pokemon cards — but now some are making six figures while still in high school!

You’re son or daughter still has time to read this book this summer. It could be just the jolt of motivation and ambition that they need. Thanks to the internet, entrepreneurship is finally a viable money-making alternative for kids. It’s kind of the wave of the future. So, don’t let your kid be left behind.

What it Takes to Make More Money than Your Parents

How to make money with your digital camera is easier than you think.  I started taking photos this summer at one of my favorite hot weather hangout – the pier heads in South Haven, Michigan.  Jutting out into Lake Michigan, there is always a view and a cooling breeze.

There is also a great lighthouse on the south pier head.  This is where it gets good.  I sit on the north pier, facing the lighthouse, and take pictures of boats passing the big red lighthouse with it’s iron catwalk.  Boaters can’t take a picture of their own boat with the lighthouse in the background, so I do, and offer it up on my website for viewing and purchase.  Pretty cool, huh?  Sitting all relaxed, cooler full of beverages, sunscreen on, and a digital camera clicking away.

This has been an interesting venture.  I have been learning how to tweak photos, angles, light, and getting the attention of boaters so they know their photos are available on my website.
